Superstar
by John BushGlasgow, Scotlands Superstar play updated power-pop like their old friends Teenage Fanclub, but singer/guitarist Joe McAlindens classical upbringing means that strings and some brass appear. McAlinden met Nellie Grant and Raymond Prior in early 1992 and the trio began to practice, recording an EP that spring. The summer brought their first album, Greatest Hits, Volume One.
