T-Model Ford
by Richie Unterberger
Like most Fat Possum artists, T-Model Ford plays raw, juke-joint blues. And like fellow Fat Possumers Junior Kimbrough and R.L. Burnside, Fords opportunity to cut albums arrived late in life; he was around 75 when his debut Pee-Wee Get My Gun was recorded in 1997. Even by Fat Possum standards, Fords sound is pretty bare and raw, usually featuring only shuffle drums and Fords basic, buzzy chords and riffs. He returned in mid-2000 with She Aint None of Yourn.
