Legowelt

Legowelt is the alias of Danny Wolfers, a native of the Hague who produces tracks inspired by Italo-disco, early Chicago house, disco, new wave, and more than anything else 80s electro. The bulk of Wolfers' output has appeared on the Netherlands' Bunker label, including 12& releases such as Pimpshifter (1999) and Wirtschaftswunder (2000). He also released a full album on Goldcoast in 1998 called Reports from the Backstreet Pimp. By the end of 2002, he racked up over half a dozen compilation appearances, the most prominent of which was &Disco Rout& on Ghostly International's Tangent 2002: Disco Nouveau. Wolfers has collaborated with Orgue Electronique for a trio of releases that appeared on Bunker and Kapellmeister and he has done several remixes for the likes of I-F, Speedy J, and V.U.L.V.A.
